Generation 1. John McLean Sr. born about 1753 unknown location. This family is almost certainly of Scots-Irish or Scottish stock. Presbyterians. Married into Scots-Irish families. Parents unknown. John married and had at least three children including John Jr, a son born about 1783 and a daughter born about 1786.

Entering the blogworld
Here I am seventy years old and making my first blog. Do you make blogs, or do you just blog? Two years ago I would have guessed that a blog was some sort of blockage in a stream perhaps caused by beavers. We'll see.
