Robert Baron McLean

My grandfather, Robert Baron McLean was born 26 Aug 1877 at the Mooresville, North Carolina plantation his father inherited from his grandfather.  He was  baptized at the Centre Presbyterian Church near Mooresville.  He was 8 years old when his father died and 12 years old when his mother died leaving him an orphan.  He went to live with his grandfather Ephraim Alexander for about a year in Millers, Alexander County, NC then with his great aunt & uncle Nancy McLean & Thomas G Christie near Statesville, NC for about a year then with his mother's half sister and husband Orah Clemintine Alice Alexander Overcash and Layfette Kelly Overcash in Millers, Alexander, NC where he stayed until he went to be with his sister Mary and husband William F Miller in Sulfer Springs, Oklahoma.
